I recently talked with Leslie Cramblett Alvarez and Chris Hakala about their book Understanding Educational Developers: Tales from the Center. In one chapter of the book, they explore the skills and competencies that educational developers need for the work. I noted that both Leslie and Chris have academic backgrounds in psychology, so I asked them about the role of disciplinary training in educational development careers.
